Democracy revealed
Democracy
You have all heard the old saying that “the truth shall set you free.” Free from what? If you don’t know the truth you can be manipulated by the most logical argument presented to you. That argument in today’s world is referred to as propaganda.
Your ancestors, for the most part, never knew anything but one form of slavery or another. All had the illusion of being free. If and when they awoke to their true condition, they rebelled. The problem for them is that they didn’t have the skills to maintain their freedom once won. We find ourselves losing our freedom once again. Our enemy is, and has always been, ignorance.
We have politicians shouting the benefits of “democracy” from the roof tops. Our President tells us that we have to make the world safe for democracy. What is a democracy, and is that the form of government we all agreed would govern our interactions? Is that the form of government we are guaranteed in our constitution?
(More on what a constitution actually is later.) Here is the government we are guaranteed in that written legal document:
Article IV, section 4:
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this union a Republican form of Government…”
Whoah, what? Holy fishing poles Batman. What the hell is that kind of rhetoric doing in our Constitution? Does it mean we all should vote republican? Don’t feel bad if you don’t know what a republican form of government is. It has been well hidden from your consciousness for many many years.
We are told that democracy is our form of government and that that is a wonderful thing. Here is the government’s own definition of the democracy that was instituted here in 1933 after the U.S. declared bankruptcy.
Here is the definition of democracy in the United States war department training manual T-M 2000-25 from November 30, 1928, page #91, where we discover the following (quoted directly from Americanism):
“Democracy: A government of the masses. Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of ‘direct’ expression. Attitude toward property rights is communistic negating property rights. Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whatever it shall be based upon; deliberation, or governed by passion, prejudice and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences. It results in demagoguery, license, agitation, discontent, and anarchy. Mob-ocracy.”
Ben Franklin was asked by a lady when he walked out of the convention what kind of government did they give us? Here is his famous eight word answer:
“A Republic, madam, if you can keep it.”
“Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.” ~ Chief Justice John Marshal
Karl Marx, the father of communism, even tried to warn us about democracy when he said, “Democracy is the precursor to communism.”
No democracy has ever lasted more than two hundred years. Are you curious as to what a republic is yet? Keep your eyes open for the next post.
P.S. The word “democracy” does not appear anywhere in our Constitution. One of the reasons for the Constitution was to protect us from a democratic government.
