Powers of the Jury

Many people asked me for the jury rulings in PDF Format.  Here is a link that can do just that below.  Here is another link that shows you the power of using the ability to judge the law to restore our republic.  Please please pass this information on.

Fundamental #26-Jury

We all want smaller and less intrusive government.  Here is how we get just that.  This is our best tool. The supreme Court decision referred to here was Sparf & Hansen V. the U.S.  The Court ruled that, “the jury does not have to be informed of their power to judge the law.”  The Congress has the power to over rule this decision.  Until then, it is up to you to educate your neighbor
I have met very informed citizens that were uninformed of this power.  The below is a short read, but essential to the peaceful restoration of our republic.

If you haven’t seen it yet, here is the supreme Court ruling affirming this power:
Georgia V. Brailsford 3.US.1 (Dall)  (1794)
“The Jury has the power to judge the law in bringing a general verdict.”

John Conway

I have known of this case for well over twenty years now. You are 100% correct. However you must not forget the Law of Nature, and its requirements of Benevolence to your fellow man and not legislating against man's normal propensities. Then you add the concepts behind the Republican Clause as guaranteed in our constitution (the law of the land) which requires an injury to a person before their can be a crime and an injury to a person before a sanction can be inflicted on a person. Plus the Ninth amendment to the same constitution of the United States ( the enumeration in constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people) and the requirement that each and every state follow the requirements of a republican form of government and you can see how bigotry and prejudice can be controlled, as these are tried to be inflicted on other individuals by bigoted and prejudiced individuals in or society. People can be very mean to their fellow men if allowed to be given the impression of a right to be that way, which a pure democracy gives them. That is why we are a Republic and not a Democracy and that is why we always must stress the fact that we are a Republic and not a pure Democracy. Democracies lead to despotism and tyranny by the government (the people). Their is a penumbra brought on by the Bill of Rights as explained by William O. Douglas and Hugo L. Black in several cases determined in the Supreme Court of the United States. This penumbra is greater than these individual amendments shadow alone. These Amendments work in harmony to protect us from the mischief of our fellow human beings. Mischief is a word used by James Wilson in his lectures on law 1790-1792, College of Pennsylvania. People need to read this mans works as he gave at least 163 speeches in the convention that drew up the Constitution and he is responsible for the final wording of the Republican Clause of our Constitution. He signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution plus he sat on the Supreme Court. George Washington sent his nephew to study the law under his direction. James Wilson studied the law under John Dickenson who signed the Articles of Confederation. Everybody needs to read this man's works!!!
